Just a thought...

I do like to randomly ponder things.... recently I have been thinking about my affinity for using new products (hence the beauty junkie name). Yep, I like using new products, that's no surprise - but the thing that makes me wonder is the fact that even when I find a product that works I can't resist the urge to test something new?

Just as an example - I am really enjoying my current skin routine, my skin is clear and soft and I haven't had more than a couple of spots in the time I have been using it. But there is still an endless list of products that I want to try out - despite the risk of my skin not being to happy with my experimental ways.

I guess it's slightly different with make-up as there is more of an element of creativity and new things are always welcome (although with foundation/concealer it's the same - I always want to try something new, even when I find ones I love) but when it comes to hair and body - I guess this beauty junkie is never satisfied (well, not till I find a product that makes me look like a Victoria Secret Angel that is...).

  1. Haha I guess there's always that small chance that another product *could* be the miracle one that effortlessly transforms you into a VS Angel. And if you never try, you'll never know!

  2. I have the same problem. Even when a product is working well for me and I have no need to change it I still have the erg to try something elce, some times before I even fisnish the bottle. I love making beauty purchases, and turn to the beatuy section in a magazine fist to check out the new products! Hence the name of my blog containing the word addict!!! I just cant help my self :D xXx

  3. I'm the same way and it frustrates my hubby to no end! I have a skincare routine that's working too, but I will probably change it up just cuz I want new makeup remover products and so on. I also want to try out proactiv, so that'll be a big change too! See I have like 2 new routines already lined up and I am nowhere close to hitting pan on my skincare products!

  4. I think its the perfect example of "the grass is always greener" and it's tough when you are a product junkie. I'm the same way...my closet in the bathroom is full or random hair care products that I have bought and failed with and even though I know what works I still need to go out and buy this and that to see if there is something I like better. I think for the most part skincare is something I stick to for a while before I think my skin is getting dull and I need to change it up...of course I do change it up and my skin freaks out. We are all hopeless cases when it comes to buying beauty products!
