Another review of a Jelly Pong Pong product that I was sent recently. This time it's the rather adorable Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff in 'fluffy'. Like the eye shadow duo the packaging is very cute - with the vintage beach hut style stripes, inside the outer packaging there is a sturdy pot with over 10g of creamy cheek stain. The colour is so pretty, a rosy shade with just a hint of softening coral makes for an ultra flattering colour. I haven't used many cream based cheek colours before - I find them intimidating - but this one was impressively easy to use. In the pictures above, the swatch shows the colour applied heavily and un-blended (right swatch) and then blended out (slightly harder to spot, on the left of the arm picture). The colour blends really easily and creates a really natural looking flush.
It can also be built up if you want a more dramatic colour or if you are more tanned and need a more intense shade to show through.
The staying power of this cheek stain was really impressive too - it lasts a whole work day with no problem. I think that the flattering colour would also work well as a lip colour, but it's not something I have tried at the moment (lip colours don't really work well when you have ridiculously chapped lips).
I think this colour would look gorgeous on tanned cheeks with a shimmery bronzer as a highlight.
What do you think? Like the look of this colour? What do you think about cream blushers?
Another important question - what do you think of the collage of pictures????
