I love it when a new trend comes out that doesn't just happen to be the latest colour released by a brand... and this trend from Essie at New York Fashion Week is the perfect example of how you can adapt two existing colours to have a new trend.
This look was created by Ana-Maria for Essie at the Creatures of the Wind show at New York Fashion Week, and uses Essie colours Sew Psyched and Mint Candy Apply, layered (two coats of Sew Psyched as a base with one coat of Mint Candy Apple on top) to create a colour that's somewhere in between the grungy Sew Psyched and the brighter pastel of Mint Candy Apple.
I'm going to try this shade out for an upcoming nail of the day. Let me know what you think of the idea of blending nail colours though for new trend shades?
