Right on the heels on the post about Glossy Box, here's a post on December's Jolie Box - the first since it was bought out by the American Birchbox Company. The Jolie Box name remains, but as you can see from below - Birchbox has it's presence!
The December box comes in a cute gold and white chevron print and has a party theme... but what's inside?!
Like Glossy Box, it's a little bit of a mix. There's a pretty pigment/loose shadow from Bella Pierre and a shimmering pink nail colour from Color Club. A decent sized shower gel sample from Natural Honey and a lip balm/gloss from I Love... all these are good!
There's YET ANOTHER sample of Olay Regenerist, now don't get me wrong - I am a big Olay fan, but these little red tubes have popped up everywhere! There's a fragrance sample which I thought looked like a tequila sample when I first saw it... although I guess that fits the party theme?! It's not actually tequila, it's 'the oldest Spanish perfume' and apparently a 'renowned crowd pleaser for men and women alike'!
There's also two sachets of Doctor Duve Lifting and Firming Hand & Decollete Cream - I'm not a fan of sample sachets of skincare. Size-wise, the sample of Olay is far preferable as gives you enough to at least form a first impressions opinion, but I don't think a sachet is enough to do that - so for me, it wouldn't be enough to tempt me to go and explore a product or brand further.
Again, in my view it's another good, but mixed box - with some gems in there (the nail colour, bella pierre shimmer powder and the lip balm/gloss) and some 'meh' products (the fragrance and the sachets).
What do you think of the December Joliebox contents?
PR sample.
I really like the I Love... products, I have a lip balm from there which smells gorgeous! And what a nice little addition with the chocolate! OX
