The pearly whites...

Teeth, not the most glam aspect of a beauty look - but one of those details that make the biggest difference (why do you think all the celeb-types have their teeth whitened as pretty much a standard...). I have a few little tricks that I turn to to ensure my pearly whites are as white as possible!

First up, the Colgate Proclinical 1500* - which is the first time I've actually used an electric toothbrush. Which is very bad, as I've had one sitting in my cupboard for ages but something kept putting me off actually using it. But I finally bit the bullet and tried this new and super-fancy one from Colgate. It has various power settings and a timer to ensure you give your teeth the right amount of TLC that they need. Basically, to me it feels like the Clarisonic for teeth. Like a proper deep-clean session that leaves teeth feeling really thoroughly clean. The small brush head took a bit of getting used to, but now I am - I doubt I'll go back to manual without a fuss!

I've also been trying a new product from Pearl Drops called 'Beauty Sleep'*, an overnight whitening treatment that you apply to teeth before you nod off and let it do it's thing. I can't honestly say I've noticed a dramatic colour difference yet - but I do notice that my teeth feel 'fresher' in the morning when I wake up so I'm sticking with it for now!

For special occasions or if I decide to do a big pamper session I reach for my Colgate 3D Whitestrips. I pick these up when I'm in America so I only have a limited supply - apparently you can buy them from eBay - but I prefer to just pick up a box when I have access! With continued use, I do definitely see a difference when using these!

So these are my go-to for looking after the pearly whites! Now who said us Brit's have bad teeth...

  1. I need to seriously bite the bullet and try some crest strips. My teeth are okay colour wise, but they're definitely not white. I'm always worried whitening them will highlight just how wonky and awful looking they are!

  2. I'm always looking to get whiter teeth but my teeth are so darn sensitive that its hard to use white strips so I just stick to the good ol baking soda for now.
