Tomato Lips: FOTD

One of the reasons I don't tend to do a huge amount of face of the day photos is because I tend to find a selection of products I love and stick with them - with only a very small amount of variation (perhaps a taupe shadow instead of brown...oooh...). This one is actually pretty much no exception - except I threw in a bright red lipstick from the Bourjois Rouge Edition Collection to mix things up a little.

The Rouge Edition is shade 10 'Rouge Buzz' - a true bright red, with an orange undertone to it. Or what I like to call, tomato red. On some paler skin tones I think this shade of the red spectrum can be really flattering. For a break down of the other products I used read on...




Face wise I used Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua, Bare Minerals Concealer*, and MAC Mineralsise Skin Finish. As I type this I have also realised I forgot to include the blusher I used in the shot - but it was Benefit Coralista* (with a touch of Benefit High Beam on the top of cheek and brow bones). For the eyes I used Urban Decay Naked Palette* (mainly Walk of Shame), Clinique High Impact Mascara* and Bottom Lash Mascara and Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner*. For brows I've been using this dinky little palette from Smashbox - it's smaller than a credit card and almost as thin. Amazing for carrying around!

And that's it - this is basically the total contents of my regular face of the day...plus the added red lippie to mix things up a bit.

Speaking of mixing things up a bit, I've decided to start setting myself a few little make-up challenges to  get me to start using more products - this week I'm going to use a different BB cream each day (Mon-Fri) and then will blog my thoughts at the end of the week. Thinking of also doing a lipstick a day challenge and perhaps something to add in a bit of colour?! I can't promise daily FOTD stuff as it's a bit of a challenge to do that before leaving for work (I like my sleep too much) but will try my best!
