French Beauty Purchases

I can't believe I forgot to pop this post up! But about a month ago when I was in Paris I paid a visit to the famous City Pharma - which isn't the monolith beauty emporium you expect. But simple a decent sized and well stocked standard pharmacy - with all the brands that are now becoming very popular and in demand over this side of the Channel.

I did of course go a little silly and stocked up on some products I love along with some new additions...

So what did I buy:

Bioderma and lots of it - I stocked up on the large bottles of the famous Crealine H2O, plus a travel size- purely because it's cute and a bottle of the version for dehydrated skin. I also bought another skincare product - a hydrating serum - from the range, which has become a daily staple in my morning routine over the month.

Phyto Detox Shampoo - I'm going to do a dedicated post on this as this is something I've discovered this year and love. So I picked up a second bottle. But basically, it's the best detox shampoo I've found.

Nuxe Rive de Miel - I have one of these I treated myself to and it's still going strong. But I picked this up because the price difference is silly - this was no more that 6euros, compared to the £9 I paid for mine over here. Very silly...so here's my back up for when my current pot runs out!

I also picked up a tinted peach lip balm from the Nuxe brand - only tried once so far, but first impressions are good. This was a bit of an impulse purchase!

Last but by no means least I picked up Embryolisse Lait-Cream Concentrate - basically because of the buzz I've been hearing about this one. It's essentially a very simple moisturiser, and I don't know what I'm really expecting from it. But I'm curious!

Also, not pictured are two OPI glitter varnishes that I also impulsively threw into my shopping basket. Moral of the story? Don't shop when under the influence of copious amounts of delicious hot chocolate and that 'I'm on holiday it doesn't count' mentality...

All bought by me. Oops.

  1. I love the things you bought - great choices, I'd buy them myself too! I recently discovered Bio Derma's micellar water (after trying to avoid the hype) and I must say, I really really like it. It's amazing and does so much for my skin! Other than that I'm really curious about Embryolisse's Lait-Concentré, as I've heard also amazing things about it.

    Great post!

  8. It's crazy how much the prices are marked up in different markets. I paid a little over $20 for the Reve de Miel and I got the Bioderma 2 for $50. I'm head over heels in love with the Embryolisse Lait-Cream Concentrate. It's super moisturizing and almost gives your face a silky soft feel. Great choices!
