Glossybox May

Happy first birthday to Glossybox! I can't believe it's been a whole year of monthly beauty goodies!

Heres a few pics to see what I received in my May Glossybox. Overall, its a nice box but none of the items really excited or wowed me so far this month. My favourite has to be the Noble Isle 'Summer Rising' shower and bath gel - that smells amazing. I'm also looking forward to giving the Uniq '1' multi-functioning hair product a proper test.

The other products I received are a (I think) body lotion from - it smells nice, but I say I think as the packaging is in German so I know it's either a body lotion or a cleanser from the handy little Glossybox leaflet, but I'm not 100% which it is as for texture, it could be either?!

There are two perfume samples which do smell nice (my fave is the Si Lolita one) and some false lashes. The lashes are a bit on the dramatic side for my taste but will hold on to them for a night out. There's also a little Glossybox mirror and a birthday balloon! The mirror will come in very handy.

For me, this wasn't the most exciting box I've received - but I feel that's the nature of these type of sample delivery services. You win some, you loose some!

Glossybox April (spoiler alert!)

This month's (April's) GlossyBox has an eco-friendly theme, even the box is recycled and comes in a lovely beige colour. I'm building quite a collection of rainbow coloured boxes...with the normal pink, red for Christmas, white for the Harrods box, pink for February...

So anyway, here's a little look at the goodies that came in my Glossybox this month!

The make-up item is this eyeliner from Inika cosmetics, in a gorgeous deep purple shade - I first tried Inika when I received a liner with a Marie Claire magazine a while ago. This one is just as lovely, I like how the purple shade is deep and subtle - makes it really wearable.

Then there were four other lovely products - a Burt's Bees Body Lotion, a Peppermint and Tea Tree balm (I love Peppermint, so this is a winner for me), a Monu Collagen Cream and a Caudalie Vinosource Serum. I'm a huge fan of the Caudalie range - especially the Vinosource products. I have tried this serum before so very happy to see this in there - it's fantastic for dry/dehydrated skin - especially when used lightly around the eye area.

I'm very happy with the bits I got in the box this month - I don't normally blog about just the contents, but as a couple of the brands were products I've tried in the past I felt I can vouch for their quality! I'm liking how Glossybox are doing different themes for the boxes, and how each one has a nice range of face/body/make-up products.

I guess my only comment on this months box would be that it might have been nice to switch one of the face or body products for a hair one? No big deal at all, but would have given it a real all-rounder feel to the box!

Still, at the end of the day - I just love the surprise factor of opening the box to see what they've included each time!

Glossybox: The Harrods Edition

The clever bods over at Glossy Box really have pulled out all the stops for a rather special little limited edition box...'The Harrods Edition'.

The launch at Laduree in Harrods was a suitably glossy affair, filled with colourful macaroons and pink bubbles... with the room being scattered with some of the lovely products that are going to be included in the Harrods Edition box.

Yum... Laduree's finest!
I'm not going to *totally* spoil the surprise for those who are receiving this box by listing all the products that might be in the boxes or even what's in the box I received.... (I've mentioned before I prefer to give the product a decent try before I write about them) but I did want to give a little heads up that there's a pretty darn amazing Limited Edition Glossybox being released!

Here's a little bit of a preview of some of the brands and products that could be in the boxes... yep, that's a mini Burberry lippie and a full sized Ojon there... plus a little bit of Clarins and the Fendi perfume...

There are some very special brands available... not going to spoil it too much, but I spotted some Molten Brown, YSL and some lovely fragrance brands...

NYC beauty bits

Nope, not beauty bits I have bought in NY but bits I took with me and love...

The Clarins moisturisers are from the January Glossy box and I was over the moon when I saw them. I have used both the day and night cream before and love them, so was very happy to see decent sized travel friendly ones in the box.

I picked up the No7 wipes with the £5 vouchers before going away and love the new packaging - all wipes should have the click lids, to prevent wipes from drying out.

Fragrance wise I bought one of my January sale bargains with me, I picked up the gift set of Vera Wang Lovestruck with perfume, shower gel and body lotion for around £18 - I've been loving the perfume and travelling light was the perfect time to get using the shower gel and lotion. Plus I love how using a specific fragrance for a holiday helps form scent memories.

I've really liked both the shower gel and lotion, but if you have dry skin I would advise you have another moisturiser to hand too as it is only light on the moisture front.

Anyone interested in seeing which beauty bits I picked up on my trip?? Let me know and I'll get blogging about them asap.
