Zalando.co.uk

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about how I couldn't decide on which shoes to buy from the humongous choice available from Zalando. Well I finally made a choice, and went for the EDC by Esprit brown belted boots.

I'm really pleased with the boots - they look even nicer in person than they did on the website. They are calf length, so not full knee-highs and the colour is a little bit browner than in the image on the site, slightly less red-toned.

Service wise, I'm really happy with Zalando - I like an online shop that offers free delivery and returns. There's nothing that puts me off online ordering quicker than excessive postage charges or potentially having to pay for returns. The free delivery took about 3 working days, so not amazingly fast but certainly not slow either. Definitely a reasonable length of time when delivery is free.

I would recommend Zalando as a place to look if you have a pair of shoes in mind because they have so many on the site that you are bound to find what you want. If you just fancy a browse (and are indecisive) then be careful... I ended up with nearly £3k worth of shoes I loved in my shopping basket! Making a decision was a challenge! Joking aside, there is a huge selection of items and would definitely recommend using the search tools to narrow it down to a manageable number to look through - the tools are good for avoiding the situation where you find a shoe style you love but it's sold out in your size - you can search by size, colour, heel style, fabric....all sorts.

Back to the boots I chose - I have to say that the best thing about them is that they are really, really, comfy. I'm a size 4 and they feel perfectly sized, possibly a little roomy as I'm currently wearing them with tights rather than socks. This is a good as means there's plenty of room for cosy winter socks as it gets colder, without my feet feeling squished. I think part of the comfort comes purely from them being well made shoes, rather than the cheap ones I normally buy... there's a lesson in here somewhere about buying quality rather than quantity...

Zalando provided a voucher for me to use on the site.

HQhair.com: review

**UPDATE**
HQHair.com have unfortunately gone into administration since I wrote this post. They have apparently been bought by The Hut Group in an attempt to save the brand. I sincerely hope that they do as I am not hooked on the Philip Kingsley scalp masks.

I recently made my first order from HQhair.com after testing out a scalp mask from Philip Kingsley which I loved (full review to come soon) so I decided to stock up & bought 4.

Whilst I was shopping there was a discount offer of 30% off. So I also picked up a Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask, as I've never tried anything from the Mario Badescu range and was on the hunt for a mask that was more moisturising than deep cleansing.

Delivery was £3.50 and took about a week to arrive. Not the speediest, but not ridiculously slow.

The products were nicely packaged, wrapped securely in bubble wrap and there was a sample of Philip Kingsley elasticizer as I had bought two other products from the range.

All in all, a simple and straight forward online shopping experience that is good for a bargain but if you want your order quickly then I recommend you pay the extra for express delivery.
