I know quite a few people in the beauty world do international swaps to get their hands on the must have products from over-seas and here are the goodies from my first! Not only a swap, this one has to be called a mega-swap because not only are there a TON of beauty goodies, but this swap took a YEAR to complete!
How adorable is the packaging for Hard Candy? I love the little ring that comes with the nail varnish. This shade is a pretty glittery bronze shade (**update** called Mischief from the LE Halloween Range) that I reckon would look beautiful with a tan! I think this is in the running to be my polish of choice for New Years Eve…
The polish on the right below is a Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Polish that I would describe as a cross between a bronze and a neutral – it is a stronger colour and with more shimmer than a neutral, but isn’t quite as strong as a metallic bronze. Very pretty and will be doing a NOTD very soon with this.
The three colours below are all Milani shades, I’ve tried the red in the middle and did a NOTD with it too. The dark red is also one of my all-time favourite nail shades – I love deep dark reds on short nails! The pink doesn’t look quite as bright in real life as it does here, it’s a really creamy pink – which I actually don’t have many of so is a good addition to the collection.
Next up are the eye colours I have to play with! A fabulous mixture of purples (a favourite shade of mine) and neutrals – plus a selection of rich jewel shades.
Top left, we have a pretty shimmering champagne coloured neutral from Milani. I’ve already had a bit of a play with this and I love how silky smooth it feels!
Top right we have one of the Limited Edition NYC colour palettes that we don’t get over here in the UK. The pale, highlight shade is very pretty. I love how the palette includes a creamy base and creamy highlighter too. I’ll do an eye-of-the-day look soon!
The smaller pictures along the bottom include Milani Runway Eyes Palette (how beautiful are these colours and love the unusual shadow packaging style), three Milani eye-shadow quads – including a pretty everyday neutrals quad, a bronze quad and a purple quad.
On the bottom right there is a Sonia Kashuk brush set and Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow palette with a combination of taupe/brown shades and some glittery/shimmer shades. I’m going to do a dedicated post on this set soon as I need so get some better photos of it to show it’s gorgeousness.
Next up are the selection of blushes that I am stupidly excited about – I actually have the infamous ‘Orgasm’ dupe from Milani – this is my ideal blush shade. A perfect combination of pink and peach, with a golden shimmer. Gorgeous.
Top left there is a Hard Candy blush that is AMAZINGLY similar to the Accessorize blush range. I’ll do a proper comparison of these in a separate post.
Then bottom left there is a the Covergirl Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush – this is such an interesting product that I have read a mixture of reviews on and can’t wait to try as I do love a creamy blusher.
The Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara was one of the products I immediately knew I wanted to include in the swap when we got started. I haven’t tried it yet, but think it will be similar to Max Factor False Lash Effect, which is a good thing as I love this mascara.
The product top right of the image is Milani Liquif’eye Metallic Eyes eye-liner in black. This is apparently really well known and consider ‘holy grail’ for many.. so I can’t WAIT to give this a go.
The YSL Touche Eclat – like image below is another famous Milani product, their HD Advanced Concealer. Apparently an amazing dupe of the YSL cult classic.
Then a selection of lip products – I really love the Hard Candy packaging, so cute. I’ve tried and NYC colour lip balm in the past and really liked it, so this could be a new handbag essential.
I’ve never tried – or even heard of – Organic Wear, so really excited to try this brand. The colour is a pretty warm pink colour and I like the leaf design packaging.
