I have a weakness for anything that hints of the Deep South, USA. I lived in Louisiana for a year and I’m basically a huge wanna-be American. So when I received an email about the Body America range, which is available from the new House of Fraser Apothecary (in store and online) I was instantly drawn to the Southern Belle products.
The whole Body America range is themed around vintage 50’s pin up style images and scents that are named after familiar areas/locations across the states (including ‘New York Cheese Cake’, ‘Vermont Vavavoom’).
I chose Southern Belle because of my thing for Louisiana and because it’s Peach and Mango flavour – both of which I love. Am I the only one who picks products based on a love of the location they are named after??
I have been using the body scrub and body butter on and off for a couple of weeks now (not daily as I prefer non-scented products on an every day basis) I really like the pump dispenser for the body butter (also comes in a tub, if you like it like that) I love body butter but sometimes scooping it out of a tub can be messy – so this is a nice touch. The exfoliator is scrubby, without being harsh – really nice to use and feels really pampering.
Both products smell good enough to eat! Very sweet and summery, which is a nice pick me up for January…
All of the Body America products are around the £7/8 mark, surprisingly inexpensive!
