This is a little snap shot of my current top 5 colours for nails… I have been sucked in, hook line and sinker for the darker shades for Autumn and Winter… in case you can’t guess from these picks of mine!
So the shades are, left to right…
MAC ‘Oyster Shell’ – a beige/grey shade that isn’t easily available (I got from the CCO at Bicester Village) but Chanel Frenzy is very similar (and yes, even though I have just admitted they are similar…I still want the Chanel). To see on the nail you can view the post here.
Bourjois One Second Nail ‘Rouge Obscur (shade 12)’* – ADORE this deep, blood red shade. It applies like an absolute dream. It’s described as having a gel-like silicone texture and have to agree – absolutely love this and can see it barely leaving my nails this season. I haven’t done a full nail post on this but I did Instagram a shot that you should be able to view here. A couple of people commented on the picture to say this looks like a dupe of Chanel Rouge Noir… I can’t say as don’t own it, but let me know what you think!
Orly ‘Decoded’* – I don’t think a season goes by without me loving something that’s a slightly smokey/grungy shade and this is my grungy shade of choice for this season. I love how it’s part blue, part grey. It’s a great goes-with-anything colour. Quality wise, Orly is such a reliable brand – every shade (or basic base/topcoat) I have tried from the brand has been so impressive.
Estee Lauder ‘Blue Blood’* – Blue shades are my absolute love when it comes to nails. It’s crazy to think a few years ago you couldn’t have paid me to get near a blue nail colour, but now it’s a colour I can’t get enough of. This blue is one of the new Estee Lauder nail colours that I wrote about here and holy moly I love it. So dark, but with gorgeous jewel blue flashes of colour.
Me Me Me ‘(102) Rebellious’* – One of four lovely dark metallic shades from Me Me Me that you can see in all it’s glory here. I like this shade so much as it goes perfectly with all my favourite clothes for Autumn (mostly burgundy and grey with black or other khaki shades).
So that’s a little look at my favourite nail shades for Autumn – what do you think of my picks? Any suggestions for your favourite shades of the season totally welcome! Just leave a comment and tell me what you’re loving!
