Body Shop Colour Crush eyeshadows

Anyone who reads this blog regularly will already know colour isn’t exactly my thing – for the lips, sure. And I love a hot pink blusher, but for the eyes? Pretty much never… but just because I’m not a rainbow of colour make-up wise, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t show you some fun colours on here…or else the blog would become a series of posts about varying shades of brown – and rather dull. So when a selection of the new Body Shop Colour Crush eye shadows arrived on my doorstep, I thought it would be perfect timing to have a look at something a little more colourful than my usual style!

Housed in the familiar clear domes of plastic, these new shadows from The Body shop aren’t scared of a little brightness. But with a nice mix of some safer shades to keep neutral lovers like myself happy! You can probably already guess which of the shades is my favourite…

See, a veritable rainbow of colours – and this is just eight of the shades from the extensive collection. My favourites are (predictably): Grape Expectations, Caramel Flirt and Golden Girl… I love the bright pinks but would feel more at home with them on my cheeks rather than on my eyes. I’m always nervous to use pink on my eyes as feel it makes me look like I’ve been having a sob-fest…?! Any tips on how to make pink work for the eyes…?!

The pale blue is a pretty shade, but to me a little 80’s esque… the green is also lovely, with some golden shimmer and would look amazing on hazel or green eyes.

What do you think of this colourful selection from The Body Shop then? Are you a colour fan or stick to the taupe-tastic safe zone like me?!

The Colour Crush range isn’t showing on the website yet…but they’re coming soon!

I agree about pink eyeshadow, I can never seem to make it look right. Love the look of Caramel Flirt and Golden Girl. Quite liking the blue as well x

Have you tried pink eyeshadow with a black fluid eyeliner? It creates a line between your eyes and eyelids and makes the pink look less like you’ve been crying. I love pink shadows myself, They look good with my brown eyes especially with purples!

I never think of the Body Shop for makeup but these look lovely. Them seem very pigmented and such nice shades 🙂

Caramel flirt and Grape expectations look lovely, I usually wear taupes and browns too but will sometimes venture out to light pinks or purples x
