I have picked up a little beauty bargain I wanted to tell you about – Miss Sporty Clear Mascara. This happened a couple of weeks ago I went to visit a skincare place for a consultation (more on this in another post) and I forgot that this would need for them to remove my make-up and didn’t come prepared to re-touch.
I have more than enough make-up in my life, so didn’t really want to purchase a few bits just for the day – so I used the few bits I had in my bag (concealer, lipstick etc) but what I was missing was anything to fill or tame my brows. So I popped to Superdrug and picked up this little tube of seemingly-pointless product. When I say pointless, it’s not at all – but seriously, if you’re using clear mascara on your lashes – why?! I used to do this as a teen and still don’t understand why – I went though multiple tubes of The Body Shop’s clear mascara and may as well have not bothered.
But all that being said, what Clear Mascara is great for is taming the brows. A few random stray hairs? Or just want to comb them into place and have they stay? This is your friend. It really is just a clear gel and a mascara wand, so nothing special – but at around £3 a tube, it’s about as cheap as they come and well worth picking up to just add that extra little bit of control to unruly brows.
If you have small or big brows alike, this stuff is really handy – fill in as you would normally. Then just add a little slick of the clear mascara to sort of ‘set’ them in place and keep them nice and neat. I don’t think this stuff is strong enough if your brows really do have a mind of their own – as it is a fairly light gel. But it does work well for some gentle taming.
