Valentines date night in London idea

When it comes to Valentines day, the ideas for dates are often limited by the ‘typical’  Valentines date/things – dinner/movie with flowers/chocolate/teddy bear with ‘I wuv you’ on a heart… but this post is to tell you about something that if you’re in London might ‘tickle your fancy’ as an alternative for a date night this week.

durex valentines event

The event is happening on London South Bank – at the Observation Point, right next to Oxo Tower and will be playing host to ‘The Embrace’ a light and dance spectacular. The event is happening on the evening of Thursday the 13th Feb, so just in time for Valentines day. It all kicks off at 6pm and will include the chance to win a whole host of exciting ‘couple-y’ prizes such as: 3x luxury weekend breaks, 6x intimate dinners for two at top restaraunts, 9x romantic stays at boutique hotels, 6x sets of designer underwear, plus lots of other fun freebies.

The event will go on until 8.30pm and when you’re there you can tweet #DurexEmbrace with your valentines message and it could be displayed as part of the show for the world to see!

As you probably guessed from the hashtag, the whole event is sponsored by those cheeky folks over at Durex (yes, really) as they’re celebrating the launch of their latest product – designed especially for couples. The new  product is called ‘The Embrace’ and features two ‘pleasure gels’ that create different sensations either on their own, or when together… *wink wink*. One gel (the pink one – for her) is a warming sensation, and the other (the purple one – for him) is a ‘tingling experience gel’ – each housed in sleek plastic tubes that sit perfectly side by side – with sleek packaging that makes each separate tube sit snugly side by side with the other one.

So, whatever floats your boat this valentines day – The Embrace Event, is a nice (and free!) way to kick of that one day of enforced romance of the year.

‘The Embrace’ Light and Dance Spectacular – Thursday 13th February, 6-8.30pm, The Observation Point – South Bank.
