Lush Valentines

It’s dangerously close to the weekend (or may even be the weekend if you’re doing a little blog catch-up) and you know what that means? Yeah, that’s right it’s party time pamper and chill out time! And that also means Lush makes a little appearance. I sometimes think Lush is a real marmite of the beauty world – you either love it and can’t resist a Lush haul of good stuff or you find the scent of a Lush store overwhelming and it’s not for you. Personally, I do love a good old Lush bath.

This post is a little peek at some of the latest Lush offering that’s all about Valentines day. But doesn’t mean you have to be loved up to indulge.

Unicorn Horn – Yes, this is about as girly and fun as it gets. A spiral of multi coloured goodness with a hint of sparkle (not my favourite Lush ingredient) and little stars. It’s a bubble bar – which is basically my favourite of the Lush family of offerings. The scent is a mix of Lavender and Neroli – it does have that almost hard to identify sweetness of a Lush product. In all honesty, it’s the rainbow colour of this that won me over.

Prince Charming Shower Gel – I really like this. I’ve never really been a fan of that Snow Fairy one – love the smell, hate the glitter. But this one is more fruity and I really like it. Main scent being Pomegranate – sweet but with a hint of bite to it.

Heart Throb – A little red and gold glitter bubble bar. Smells amazing, but the glitter does put me off personally. This one is quite a heady scent with Fangipani as a main one. Very much a love or hate I reckon. But if you like a heady, quite sext scent then this will be a popular one.

Floating Flower – Another bath bomb, that promises a rainbow of colour based on the bomb shape as it is. This one is lovely Jasmine (lovely in my opinion, maybe not for all). Pretty and adds a lovely scent to your bath.

The Kiss Lip Scrub – I do love Lush Lip Scrubs in all their sugary, messy glory. This one is much of the same- a combination of salt and sugar plus some little edible hearts. It’s the same flavour as the gloss of the same name apparently. I’ve not tried this so can’t comment – but for scrubs, they are pretty good (just do it over the sink unless you want a ton of mess).

Lonely Heart – Another bubble bar (yes!) that for some reason is lacking some of the glitter on mine. But think it must have just rubbed off in transit. This one is a combination of the traditional Valentines scent of rose and the bergamot and lemongrass. I do really like how this manages to be light at the same time as having the rose scent too.

My top pick? Hands down the Unicorn Horn. It’s a colourful swirly gem of fun stuff. Love it.

The Valentine’s Day collection is making me so upset that I don’t have a bath at University! Everything looks amazing, especially the unicorn horn and the floating flower! 🙂

I picked up the unicorn corn, I love bubble bars, they’re such good value if you use a small amount per bath (:

love your blog! I actually really like Lush’s more glittery offerings (I like to think the resultant mess it leaves behind gives my bathroom a magical look 🙂 ) so am definitely tempted to try these out.
