Our wedding

So the time has come, I’m going to blog about my wedding. In all honesty part of me doesn’t know why I’ve been sort of delaying this. I think it mainly comes down to a slight change in feeling pre and post wedding. Pre wedding I was all set to blog it all – post-wedding I actually realised that it really was such a personal day that there’s a big part of me that wants to keep a lot of it private. Which may sound silly for someone who leads a very much online life, but I guess a wedding day is a one-off event for me, and as much as I’m happy to share some bits – there are others I want to keep personal and special. But then of course there’s the part of me that just wants to share it all! So hopefully the few wedding posts I’m going to do will be a happy balance of the two.

I’m also very conscious that Ollie (now husband) is very much an offline person – so he doesn’t feel totally comfortable with me sharing multiple pictures of him. So this will be quite limited on here I’m afraid. There’s also a few guests, including my amazing Scottish Grandma (that’s what I’ve called her all my life…) who was an absolute dancing queen and the star of many awesome photos -but doesn’t want her photo online. So I won’t be showing any of those and will just have to try and capture that in words.

This is just a little introduction to a series of posts that will come your way over the next week or so. I’m going to look to cover roughly the following topics… but please do let me know in the comments if there’s anything else you might want to read about and will do my very best.

– Wedding beauty (obvs… including both the prep and on the day)

– The dress (both mine and my bridesmaid’s dresses)

– The wedding details

– Things I learnt through planning a wedding

Any questions you have or anything you want to know about specifically, please let me know. If you’re not interested in weddings in the slightest then please feel free to skip these posts as know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea. But going to keep it fairly concise! But hopefully they will be a little bit interesting or maybe even helpful if you’re in wedding planning mode at the moment.

This photograph is absolutely stunning! And I don’t blame you- you don’t owe anyone any of your wedding photos if you want to keep it private. I shared a few of mine, but I don’t want to share any more. That was my special day and I don’t think it needs to be blasted out to the internet, so I’m right there with you. 🙂

I do love that photo, Katherine is a very talented lady indeed.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you share and it’s interesting that you said that about the difference pre and post wedding. I wonder what I’ll end up sharing in the summer.

Love the pic. You are totally right to keep it private if that’s what you want and what Ollie would be most comfortable with. One thing I was wondering is do you have any fail safe tips for long lasting make up when you are a wedding guest.
