Oh Tom Ford, how do I love thee? A whole load of ways, but let’s just look at one today. I mentioned back in my post about Harrods Salon De Parfum Harrods Salon De Parfum that the Tom Ford boutique space within the Salon De Parfum was one of my favourites. Now, it’s official. I have a new love by the name of Tom – Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is the sort of perfume my fragrance dreams are made of. Am I going overboard here? Maybe – but that’s how a single whiff of this stuff makes me feel.
But the scent, which is pretty much the most important bit… obviously. Basically it smells like a beautiful holiday. It’s sweet, warm and fresh all at the same time. Officially, the blend is top notes of Bergamot and Mandarin Orange. Heart notes of African Orange Flower and base notes of Amber. So essentially it’s quite a citrus sweet fragrance with a bit of white flowers in there. I’ve learnt over the past few years that apparently I’m quite drawn to the fragrances of white flowers, so this must be part of the appeal to me. But there really is something about this that smells like holidays, but in a grown up way – not like suncream and coconuts. More like how I imagine orange groves in Italy to smell… something like that. This truly is a beautiful fragrance and one I know I’ll enjoy wearing often, for a very long time.
Tom For Neroli Portofino is available from Harrods and John Lewis (£142 50ml)

I love this scent! Sprayed it on at the airport the first time I whiffed it, boarded on my trip and now the scent holds great memories 🙂

I love it when scent does that! One whiff and you’re taken back in time!
Oh I have wanted this for so long! I’m not sure I’ll ever convince myself to spend so much on a fragrance, but maybe one day…
