Ah Sephora, how do I love thee? Well, quite a lot… in fact I still can’t get over the fact we now can’t even browse the US Sephora site anymore… BUT that does mean extra time can be justified when I do get to chance to visit a store. And visit a store I did when I was in Las Vegas back in September. So I thought now is a good time to share what I picked up…
I visited the store in the Venetian and it was a good one. Large, great brands and well stocked. Plus the bonus was it was the VIP weekend with discount across everything. WINNING. But when we were there we realised the store was closing early and it basically became like a supermarket sweep, Sephora style.
The first thing I picked up was the Replica fragrance set. I ADORE the Maison Martin Margiela Replica fragrances (Beach Walk and Funfair Evening being my favourites FYI) but when I saw this set of mini sized I had to have it. There’s one in there (Sailing Day) that I tried the full size version of and loved, but couldn’t really justify but seeing it as a mini in the set was perfect. It’s a really fresh scent and right up my street – if you like Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt then this will be your sort of thing.
I went a bit to town on the mini sized products. Picking up the new Hourglass Caution Mascara – I’ve not yet tried this but it’s next on my list. I also went for a mini duo of Drunk Elephant Skincare with the B-hydra hydration serum and the C-Firma serum in cute travel sizes. So far I LOVE the B-hydra serum.
I went for a mini size of the Farsali Unicorn Essence – a very much hyped on Instagram and not a cheap one. Which is why I like the fact Sephora offers these smaller sizes as they’re a great way to try without as much money commitment. Also on skincare front I picked up the Bye Bye Lines Serum, because I want it to do as it says… wish me luck. I mean, IT Cosmetics are one of my favourite brands at the moment but so far have only really tried the makeup side of things but skincare is apparently a bit special!
Then I also picked up the NARS Orgasm loose powder – I had heard it on good authority (Really Ree told me) that the powder is gorgeous on cheeks and eyes… so knew I wanted to try it! Then on top of all of that I got the birthday gift – because I missed it by not being in the country in my birthday month plus I decided to use my Sephora beauty club card points and get the 500 point treat from Ouai with four travel size products. Mainly for the Texturising Hair Spray as been wanting to try that for an age! I had thought the wave spray was in there too but when I opened it it wasn’t.
All in all, not a bad Sephora Haul overall. Very happy with the skincare bits I chose and loved picking up the smaller sizes as felt like I wasn’t spending tonnes without being sure if it works, then when I’m back in America in December I can maybe treat myself to some full sizes or just new bits…
