I went to the shops and bought…MAC In The Groove

It’s the collection we have all been talking about, previously due to hit stores in August the release date was moved forward to today. There is a huge range of gorgeous colours of MSF (including the infamous Stereo Rose and Petticoat) a range of mineralise eye shadow trios, blush duos plus lippies and creamsheen gloss….

I have been quite excited about this collection, there was a lot from it that I really liked the look of but on seeing it in person I narrowed it down to four products. It was the eyeshadow trios that really won me over – priced £15 for essentially three eye shadows to me, in girly maths = good value. So I picked up three of them… two slightly more unusual shades and one neutral:

– soften the mood (pale blue, shimmery pink, brown)
– in the groove (peach coral, shimmering burgundy, beige)
– togetherness (pale lilac, deep shimmer blue and grey – which to me has a slightly olive undertone…)

Plus I picked up one blush duo in ‘hang loose’ the lilac/pale pink combo – the blush cost £17.50.

All in all, very happy. Probably should have just got two shadow trios rather than three – but I expect most of these will sell out so don’t want to be kicking myself later.

Although I do love the MSF’s I decided to skip them as I have a couple already (including By Candlelight from this collection) and don’t think I need any more. Despite the hype – and normally I’m a sucker for hype. Decided to go for something a bit different!

What have you picked up/are lusting after from In the groove?

**The Small Print**

All bought with own sweet cash (which is rapidly depleting already this month. It’s only the 1st!)

I only have one MAC Mineralize e/s called ‘Love Connection’ from the Pinkzapoppin! set, and it’s so bad it’s actually funny – no pigmentation and ginormous chunks of glitter! But In The Groove, especially the shimmering burgundy does look pretty…

How shimmery is Hang Loose? I quite fancy it but didn’t order online as I wanted to see it in real life first. Same with the eyeshadows. I did give in to the hype however and ordered Stereo Rose online!

woo looks like you had a good shop! I like MAC but never get super excited about it, however i these shadows and blushes look really lovely. I have a Mac store near my work, so will pop in for sure. x

It is quite shimmery, but not as much as the MSF’s. It’s quite cool toned so I’m probably going to use it more on top of other blush colours or as a highlight – but it’s very pretty and think it will look good on paler skin tones.
