Whilst I’m away on my holidays, I decided to invite a couple of my favourite bloggers to do a guest post, first up is the lovely Rosalyn from Primps and Preens. If you don’t already follow her blog then you really should, she’s gorgeous and really knows how to rock bright lippie. So without further ado, I’ll hand over….
Hi there lovelies! I’m so excited to be guest posting on A Beauty Junkie in London which was
the first blog I started reading a couple of years ago and is still one of my favourites. I was
thrilled when Jen asked if I’d put together a little guest post so here goes!
I thought I’d show you guys the makeup combination that I’ve been loving at the moment. If
I can’t rely on the sun to shine and give me a glow then I have to turn to my trusty make up
On the recent grey days I’ve been reaching for….
L’Oreal True Match Foundation C1 Rose Ivory
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer Light
L’Oreal Glam Bronze Brunette Harmony Bronzer
Benefit Posie Tint
Bobbi Brown Rose Shimmerbrick
MUA Clear Mascara (used on my brows)
The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara
Sleek Peachy Keen and Rosette Pout Paints
It’s a pretty simple look but I love the bronzer/blusher/highlighter combo. Using a liquid
blusher like Posie Tint keeps the look really fresh and the Shimmerbrick adds a stunning glow
over the top.
I haven’t come across any highlighters that come close to Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks. I
always think they give an expensive glow to any makeup that I wear with them (I also have a
now discontinues Sandstone one) and I’d love to have a few more in my collection.
And of course I’ve jumped on the Sleek Pout Paints band wagon too. So far I only have
Cloud 9, Peachy Keen and Rosette but I’ll definitely be picking up more as I love being able to
mix up unique shades. In these pictures I’m wearing a mix of 2 parts Peachy Keen to 1 part
Rosette which is a great summery combination and perfect for a casual look like this.
Despite the grey skies, my glowing cheeks have me feeling like it’s still summer- I love how
make up can do that. Have you been embracing summer makeup or are you moving on to
autumn trends now it’s cooled down so much?
Thanks so much Roz! Don’t forget to check out her blog: http://sheprimpsandpreens.blogspot.com/
