Guest Post: The London Lipgloss

Today I have another fabulous guest post for you, this time from the adorable Zoe from The London Lipgloss. I absolutely love Zoe’s blog, she’s got such a fantastic style of her own and her personality just shines through. Definitely worth a follow!

iFabbo event summary and an iFabbo FOTD

I’m sure you’ve all seen plenty of footage of the iFabbo event that took place a few weeks ago at the delightfully charming and vintage lovin’ Powder Rooms in Soho. Now, iFabbo is a relatively new concept that aims to bring together fashion and beauty bloggers for small  (but fun) ‘conference style’ networking events where companies can pitch to bloggers who then try the products at home. So a bit like a PR-blogger service but face to face – which is always lovely.

I popped along with my best Lily, and we met with Emma, Emma, Michelle and Lou. Once we got there we also bumped into Fleur, Fei, Charli and Sophie which was also lovely!

Some of the brands there this time round included Murad, Paul and Joe and The Makeup Store.

Each brand had a little chat (I was very happy to see the lovely Zoe from Murad again!) and told us about their products, ethos and brand background information. We all got to network with other bloggers, PRs and of course the awesome iFabbo team who all took time to chat to us and snap some photos!

After the event I had a little play around with some of the products and made a really easy wearable daytime look:

These were the products I used:

t-b: collection 2000 cream puff | paul and joe eye gloss duo | the makeup store eyeshadow

So to create this look I used the Makeup Store eyeshadow as a soft highlight underneath my brow bone, followed by the light side of the Paul and Joe cream duo all over the lid, and the purple side of the Paul and Joe duo underneath my lash line. I popped a bit of mascara on, and finished with the Collection 2000 cream puff on my lips! Done!

Here’s a little close up of each of the products:

First up the Makeup Store:

Is it just me or does the M logo on their packaging just remind you instantly of Lina’s blog header?! That was all I could think about when I saw it for the first time! I really wanted to love this shadow, but the shade given to me was just a bit of a weakly pigmented shade, and I didn’t really like the way it sat on my skin. It just wasn’t nearly as bright as I wanted it to be at all. I still reserve judgement though as their shadows were lovely and some of the ones I swatched at the event were so pigmented and gorgeous!

The Collection 2000 cream puff:

This is one of the weirdest lip products I’ve ever used, it applies like a lipstick but feels like a cream blusher? It feels amazing though and it’s so lovely to wear – it’s not sticky like lip gloss or drying like lipstick. Seriously impressed with Collection 2000, they totally made a gem of a product here.

Paul and Joe Cream Duo:

This is the ultimate lazy girl’s friend. Or busy girl, however you want to look at it ;). I LOVE this product. Seriously love. Paul and Joe’s packaging is gorgeous, the shades are gorgeous and above all it holds all day. Serious,  very minimal creasing. Um, what? Yes. Yes indeed. I love the purple shade, I’ve always loved a bit of purple on my eyes and this is no exception. I’m definitely going to be buying some more Paul and Joe after this, big love!

Overall, I like the Paul and Joe product the most because it just seems to be such an easy way of applying eyeshadow.

What do you think of my FOTD? Do you use any of these products and which one is your favourite?

Love, Zozo xxxx

Disclaimer: All the products and cake featured was given to me at the iFabbo event for consideration courtesy of their PR team. The cake was polished off with Emma from Milkteef and Lily from Lily Pebbles as we legged it through London back to the tube!

Thanks Zoe for your post! Very jealous of the cake…! Don’t forget to check out her blog
