Look Beauty ‘Nail Pop’ NOTD

Look Magazine, one of my favourite weekly magazines has recently launched it’s very own make-up range – designed, tried and worn by the beauty bods at Look. This week I had the chance to check out the range along with a load of other lovely bloggers (more on this shortly, it deserves its own post). But for today I have a Look Beauty NOTD – using two colours from the range, ‘Vintage’ (the turquoise shade) and ‘Sequin Effect’ (the sparkly one).
Natural Light

With Flash.

I love a turquoise nail polish! Actually, I love a turquoise anything – it’s my favourite colour. Plus I love a bit of subtle sparkle – I really like this new ‘flakies’ trend where there’s a bit of sparkle without chunky glitter. Although that being said, I do seem to have become a bit more of a magpie than usual recently and started to like glitter on the nails (I am still not a fan of any glitter in other make-up though) – and Look Beauty has an absolute stunner of a nail polish called Bling, a pink glitter but not Barbie pink. Trust me, it’s gorgeous.

The turquoise polish is a lovely colour, a little brighter on the nails than it looks in the bottle and took a good two coats to get full coverage. Dry time was average, not slow, not fast. I gave it a bit of time before I added the sequin effect on top – one coat of this was fine. I want to try the sequin effect on a darker colour to see if it stands out a bit more than on the bright turquoise. This lasted perfectly for two days, with no chipping or tip wear.

Look Beauty has a HUGE range of nail colours, with 32 shades including some real stand-out colours (and some rumoured Chanel-dupes) I’ll post a few more pics from the range very soon!

Oh, and by the way – all make-up is on 3for2 at Superdrug.com at the moment!
