When I’ve had a stressful day, or just in need of a bit of TLC then I love nothing more than to lock myself away in the bathroom with a stash of pampering goodies and lather/scrub/buff/condition etc until the stress has vanished and I’m feeling a bit more taken care of.
Here are a few of my current favourite products for a night of pampering…
I love a good scrub and the scrub has to be step number one in the home pampering routine for me. The majority of scrubs I find work best when applied direct to dry skin and scrubbed before rinsing off (either in bath or shower) when trying to get a good scrub when under running water just doesn’t really work with scrub products – only with exfoliating gloves. Recently I’ve been using the Sienna X Polishing Body Scrub* or the Cowshed Slender Cow Scrub (review post here) – depending on if I plan to fake tan or not. The Sienna X if I’m tanning, the Cowshed if I’m not (as it’s oil based it can prevent the tan from absorbing, but does leave skin super soft).
Of course the essential follow up to a proper scrub is slathering in moisturiser – my current favourite is Biotherm Beurre Corporel*.. or Body Butter. This one has a gorgeous lemony scent that’s fresh, but doesn’t smell like Cif like I find some lemon scented products do. It’s a nice mixture between creamy rich body butter, but also feels nice and light and smells refreshing for the Summer months.
Speaking of summer… even if it’s not exactly been a wave of sandal weather, it’s a pretty good idea to keep feet looking less like hobbit feet and more sandal-ready. A simple scrub and moisturise can work wonders – for an extra bit of oomph, try the Pedi-pro (rotating scary sounding but actually pretty gentle foot gadget). For the basics I’ve been using Scholl Dry Skin Exfoliator* and Dry Skin Instand Recovery Cream*.

Of course it’s pretty hard to look or feel gorgeous without fuzz free legs… so giving them the once over with my hair removal preference of the moment is an essential for a good pampering session. At the moment I’m swinging between the easy option of the Gilette Venus Pro Skin razor* and my trusty epilator.
These all look like great products! i agree, pampering always takes stress away!
