Revlon Gel Envy

I do love a rainbow of colour – and this little feast for the eyes gives you exactly that. With my picks of the new Revlon Gel Envy range. These are Revlon’s offering for the high-shine, gel-like nail products that most brands are dipping their toe in. Revlon are a brand I’ve always associated with seriously good nail products. One of my all-time favourite nail shades is Vixen by Revlon – a deep burgundy that’s a go-to if I don’t know what shade to go for. At one point I had three of these in the collection at one time… that’s how good a colour it is. But back to Revlon Gel Envy – these are part of the core ColorStay range and the shades promise a combination of colour and base coat. Then there’s the ColorStay Diamond Top Coat to add a gloss and staying power.

These five shades are my personal favourites from the range – I’m clearly having a bright colour moment! The red is ‘Roulette Rush’ a classic red. The blue is ‘Wild Card’, if you read this blog often then you will know I’m a sucker for a blue and this is one of the best. Seriously bright and just creamy blue gorgeousness. Then there’s the yellow – certainly not my usual shade of choice and I doubt I’d go as far as wearing it alone, but next to the other shades it’s a stunner. Plus it’s one of the best creamy and bright yellow shades I’ve seen – this one is called ‘Casino Lights’. Then we have two more ‘typical’ me shades – the lovely ‘Full House’ turquoise shade and ‘Winning Streak’ a lilac/purple. These two are the ones I wore for my hen weekend – Full House on the fingers and Winning Streak on my toes… which didn’t manage to bring me much of a winning streak in the Brighton arcades, but at least I had a good manicure!

Quality wise, I can’t fault these. They’re pigmented, two coats to perfect and super glossy (all shown without a top coat). Personally I’d still use my much loved Seche Vite top coat for quicker drying time as it’s my all time favourite.

Have you tried any of the new Revlon Gel Envy shades? If so, what’s been the stand out shade for you – they have something for everyone from nudes to darks and the brights as shown here – there are 30+ shades in the range so there’s bound to be one making it’s way on to your wish list!

Revlon Gel Envy * is available from Boots (£6.99 – currently on 3 for 2)

I love Wild Card, Full House and Wild Card – beautiful shades. Might have to stop by the Revlon stand and check them out for myself.

I’ve been using this polish for a couple months now, and I do love it. The colors are nice, and the diamond gel topcoat gives it a beautiful sheen. The color lasts around 7 days on my nails without chipping, which is decent given the price of this product!

Thanks for showing these, they are lovely colors and I was hoping that someone would give an opinion on them soon. I haven’t used any of these yet, but I adore the range of colors. And it is SO nice to find someone that feels the same way I do about VIXEN. I have kept a bottle of that in my polish collection since I was about 12, and always it is my go-to choice when I need something beautiful. Just realizing now how many bottles I must have gone through in the past 30 years…
