I didn’t actually plan on doing anything around outfits really when I was in Antigua – bar taking a few photos with me in them. But turned out after a few years in training I may have gone and gotten myself an Instagram husband. Ollie is getting good at this photo taking lark so I took full advantage and collected a bunch of images so I thought I’d pull them together as some of my favourite holiday items and about packing light in case you might be zipping off for a bit of Winter sunshine. Even though that feels a tad bizarre when it’s so misty and Autumnal outside!
Some of the items are newer than others – some are old. I don’t tend to go and buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes for a week away. I’d be more inclined to pick up new bits for City type holidays where it’s maybe less casual or you just want to feel a smidge more stylish. So for this one I pulled a few favourite items – almost all pretty casual (typical me) and with comfort as a number one motivation (again, typical me).
I’m not one that feels comfortable in bikini photos, so nothing of that type – although of course I did wear one for the sunbathing type sessions (and by that I mean shade bathing… it was way to hot for me to do anything but enjoy the warmth from the safety of the shade).
From the denim boyfriend shorts and slouchy vest top over a bikini for beach walks. Or the BooHoo dress that I use as a cover up. Not many beach cover up dress things now cover shoulders/arms and I like to keep them protected as shoulders are my trouble spot for burning so this lightweight (read: cheap) dress from BooHoo is perfect as it’s comfortable and light and doesn’t matter that it’s a bit see-through because it’s only for holiday.
As I always say when I do anything that touches on fashion/style – I am NO fashion blogger, I’m just a girl who wears clothes she likes. I wear the same things over and over, I don’t have an endless wardrobe of accessories – I tend to have a few classics that I re-wear repeatedly. I have my own insecurities with my body and generally dress to flatter those where I can. But I hope that the odd time I do share anything fashion-y it might serve as a little dose of inspiration or reassurance to someone who maybe feels they’re a similar size/shape to me or just wants some fairly simple outfit ideas. Nothing revolutionary here, just what I actually wear. Hope you enjoyed – any thoughts of feedback welcome! Would love it if you could take a moment to leave a comment and let me know what you think of this sort of post. But if you don’t have time, no worries – thanks for stopping by anyway!
