So I wanted to start a new little series/theme on the blog where I do a fairly short and snappy post about a product that’s part of my daily use and maybe hasn’t had the shout out it deserves before it’s put to everyday work. Beauty ‘MVP’ (most valuable product) if you will… It’s all too easy to photograph and test the newest and most exciting products when actually I feel like the ones I use all the time are the ones that deserve all the credit. Even if they maybe don’t look as new and pretty as others. These are the ones that I am sad when they run out, I repurchase or make sure I take with me if I go away anywhere. Of course, every shiny new product has the potential to make it as a beauty MVP but that’s something only the test of time can really show! So I’m going to start with Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover.
Quite simply, this removes make-up really well. It’s not expected to do any more than that really so I’m not going to try and waffle on about other tiny details when at the end of the day the only thing that matters is – does it work? Yes, it does. A quick shake the blend the formula together, apply to a cotton pad and wipe over eyes. Removes waterproof mascara or long lasting liner with ease and doesn’t smudge or leave eyes feeling greasy. Simply a good product and gets the daily thumbs up from me.
I’ve been a fan of the Clinique Take The Day Off range for a while. There’s a cleansing balm that I’ve loved before but this was my first time with the eye make-up remover. Won’t be the last because it’s ace. Oh, and it even manages to remove the longest of long-lasting lipsticks (Rimmel Provocalips FYI) without a harsh scrub needed.
