Aveda ‘Inner Light’ Mineral Tinted Moisturiser SPF15

I’ve recently been using Aveda’s new tinted moisturiser and really like it as a natural looking base for summer. It’s absorbs/blends in  really easily and leaves skin looking gorgeously luminous and even, but not totally covered. It’s sheer enough that my freckles can slightly be seen through the base. This might not be enough coverage for some, but I like it.

I would also definitely recommend that you set your base with a dusting of powder as this one does have the tendency to get a bit shiny over the day. But overall I feel like I’m glowing when I wear this – I love the healthy, natural finish this gives to my skin. It evens things out but doesn’t mask. It really isn’t called ‘inner light’ for fun, it definitely does deliver a good glow.

I’ve been using shade 03 sweet tea and I think it’s a good colour match for me at the moment. From the Aveda website it looks like there are six shades with a variety of undertones.

So without further ado, here are the obligatory mug shots to show how it looks…

I like! What do you think? I’m currently testing another ‘inner glow’ type of face product… it’s early days right now but so far I’m impressed… will blog soon!

Out of all the MU at Aveda, I did like this when I worked for them. I found that it had a good texture and was also loaded with a lot of things that are great for skin. It also does a decent job of combating redness.
