YSL Summer 2012

Here’s a little look at some of the pieces from the new YSL Summer collection – starting with a product that has been in daily use since I took it out of the beautiful gold packaging… I really do have a bit of a thing for the gorgeous gold of YSL…

I normally like to save the best until last, but this time I want to talk about my favourite piece first. This is the Terre Saharienne Collector Edition No2 Healthy Glow. This is a limited edition piece and it’s just gorgeous – a snake skin type embossing print and three shades to make the perfect blusher/bronzer combination. With a bronzey/terracotta shade, a peachy shade and a pink – swirled together they deliver a lovely glow that has just enough shimmer for a healthy glow, but not enough for a glitter ball.

If you want to buy one thing from this collection, then this is definitely my recommendation.

Next we have two Rouge Pur Couture lipstick shades – 41 and 42. Both are dramatic, sexy shades that would be lovely for a Summer evening look. Shade 41 is a cherry red and 42 a deep plum with shimmer. Both shades are creamy and contain some shimmer, so not just creamy finish. My favourite of the two shades is the cherry red (41) as think this would look fab with a tan, lots of mascara and messy beach hair…

L-R: 41 – 42

What’s Summer without a shimmering lip gloss? For the YSL Summer Look we have a Golden Gloss in shade 54 – a nude/peachy pink with pink and silver shimmer/sparkle to it. This is a very nice neutral colour that will flatter almost anyone, but the glitter included might not be for everyone.

Of the products included here, only the bronzer is a limited edition – the others all feature in the core collection. So move fast if you want the bronzer (seriously, it’s gorgeous). Prices are below:

Rouge Pur Couture £23.50
Golden Gloss: £22
Terre Saharienne Collector Edition No2 Healthy Glow: £39

Oh wow, so many pretty things! Loving the gloss and bronzer. And the packaging is just so beautiful, as always.

It’s my first time on your blog and I wanted to invite you to take part in my giveaway, if you like the prize, of course. 🙂

The packaging and colour of the healthy glow powder looks lovely but I’m not too keen on the rest of the collection – it’s all a bit ‘meh’

These always look lovely, but so expensive!
