First up on this review, I have to say a big thank you to my friend Helen for picking these up from Paris for me! I am such a sucker for hype so very happy to have the chance to try this out.
And onto the review… So as I said, this water-like cleanser has been very much raved about in blog land for some time now, so I knew I’d have to give it a go. My overall impression, impressive – but not as amazing to me as an oil cleanse to remove makeup. It really does shift the stuff, but – as you will find when after use you’re left with a cotton pad that makes you wonder if you wear more makeup than a drag queen… It takes off more than you thought you ever put on!
But that’s my only niggle with it, to get a properly clean and totally make-up free face you will need quite a few cotton pads, which is fine for some – but my inner environmentalist just thinks that’s a little on the wasteful side. So what I’ve been finding works a treat is to use my oil cleanser first and then follow with the Bioderma – this is when I feel my skin is well and truly properly clean!
Best things about it, it feels fresh, but not at all drying, it’s not oily, no obvious smell. It doesng irritate my eyes if I use around there. I swear the bottle is never ending, despite soaking the many cotton pads the bottle is barely past full.
Final thoughts, will I repurchase – yes, but I wouldnt go mad if I ran out. So it’s a definite bonus that’s great to have in my routine. Would I recommend – yes, if you want a really effective makeup remover then this is a good one that does live up to the hype.
Gift from my friend (thank you again Helen!)
