I write this with a little bit of a sore head, it’s early morning following my work Summer party… Even though I was on the sensible side and made it home for midnight, im a bit rubbish as I dont drink very often at all, so a few glasses of wine leave me with a headache! Plus, feeling a bit sleepy…I need to reach for products with an instant pick me up effect.. Which brings me nicely back to this post and a gorgeous Estée Lauder blush I’ve been loving recently.
This is Witty Peach, which is fairly similar to one they used to have called Peach Nuance I think, but they recently refreshed their blusher line and this is one of the newer ones. Its a blusher that’s been in pretty high demand too, it was sold out at a lot of the counters I tried until I eventually found it in the Boots at Waterloo.
This is also similar to the very, very, popular MAC ‘ombre’ blusher ‘Ripe Peach’ (that I have, but have left unopened since it launched!) although that’s got a bit more of a subtle gradient from orange to peach, where’s Witty Peach is pinky-peach to yellow.
See, it’s pretty gorgeous. Plus it’s one of those lovely shades that brightens the face up, making me look less dead – which is handy for today! I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to a weekend more!
When I use this blush I do tend to stick to the slightly yellower side as the pink is very pigmented and I prefer the slightly softer effect. I do like how you can change the shade you have with this, so essentially it’s more than one blusher – good for holidays and packing light!
What do you think of this blush? Fan of the peachy cheek look?!
Also, on a totally random note… About last nights work party, it was held at a gorgeous pub in Hampsted called The Freemasons Arms, a stones throw from the Heath with a huge, and gorgeous beer garden. Oh, and the food (a BBQ) was delicious. Just a little heads up in case anyone is exploring Hampsted and felt in need of a lovely beer garden and a glass of Pimms – definitely check out The Freemasons Arms!
