As much as I’d love to do outfit of the day type posts, life tends to get in the way of this happening – so as an alternative I thought I’d start sprinkling the blog with these sorts of posts. To have a peek at little examples of how I’d wear something – now don’t expect anything dramatic and out there, that’s just not my style. But you can expect lots of stripes, grey and turquoise… as this first example post demonstrates perfectly!
This is a little round up of three ways to style: Bright Jeans
Look One: Spots & Stripes
Ah, stripes – my all time favourite style item…you can’t beat a classic stripe. This top is from Mum’s fave M&S, where you can find some absolute gems if you go in with an open mind. This is a recent purchase, a fine black and white strip with a wider white border. Plus my other go-to style of tan ankle boots and tan belt – these boots are from New Look, which I first spotted at the SS Press Show and immediately knew I had to have them. To top it off I’d ad my mixed metal Michael Kors and my H&M monochrome scarf.
Top: M&S, Boots: New Look*, Scarf & Belt: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors
Look Two: Spring Sporty
Another simple outfit, but adding an extra pop of colour in a happy Spring shade. Plus some classic converse to keep it casual and fun. A chunky gold necklace to stop it looking *too* casual and of course a classic tan belt, just to beak up the brights.
Top: Primark, Shoes: Converse, Necklace: Accessorise (old), Belt: H&M
Look Three: Toned Down Neutrals
Bright jeans can be a little intimidating to wear, so one way of making them work can be to pair them with colours that naturally tone them down. For toning down, grey is my constant go to – or even for not toning down – just grey. It goes with everything and beyond turquoise it’s my favourite colour.
Top: Primark, Shoes: Dorothy Perkins, Necklace: Nelly.com*, Watch: Michael Kors
Jeans in all three looks from Bonprix*
Items with * are either PR samples or bough with gifted vouchers. All others bought by me.
I love the looks!

Thank you! Definitely will do!
I agree about M&S – I tend to have most luck in their Indigo section – the Limited Collection seems mostly aimed at what they think young people want to wear but the Indigo bit is what I actually do want to wear!
I think that top might have been indigo actually! Totally agree!
i love the first and the third outfit the most
Me too 🙂
Nice to see you doing fashion posts. Love all the three options.
