Discovering Jo Loves…

If I was to ask you to name someone in fragrance industry I would put a lot of money on the fact that the name Jo Malone would be the first to pop into your head. The woman who founded the now iconic British brand has since moved on to her next venture – still within her beloved world of fragrance – and created a new brand ‘Jo Loves’…

Jo Loves is a smaller collection of fragrances that contains some unusual and some more familiar fragrance combination. With a selection of Mango based ones such as ‘A shot of Thai Lime and Mango’ (sounds delicious), ‘Mango Nectar’ (yum) and ‘A shot of oud over mango…’ (drool). Plus a few others such as Pomelo, Orange Tulle and Pink Vetiver.

There’s a big range in there, with sweet, spicy, fruity and fresh all covered off. I have been playing with a few little sample sizes, sniffing, spritzing and wearing them in order to decide on my first choice from the range…and I eventually decided to settle on Green Orange and Coriander.

This one appealed to me as it was a lovely blend of fresh and a little bit of sweetness. It has a dash of masculinity to it – which I am always drawn to in scents – and most of all I loved the dry down on the skin and how it lasted. My new scent for the summer!

As my first ‘Jo Loves’ experience it’s been really fun to play with the selection from the range. You can just feel how much Jo loves (no pun intended) to play with fragrance and create combinations that are unusual yet work perfectly. If you want a fragrance that isn’t just cookie-cutter predictable then this will be a fantastic brand to explore more.

Happy sniffing!

p.s. Jo Loves also includes candles… dangerous for a candle lover like me!
