New launch: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +

Clinique Three Step Skincare is definitely a cult beauty regime in my opinion – that’s not to say that it works for everyone or is the best in the market, but it is a classic and something that a lot of beauty people will have an opinion on. One of the most famous items in the Clinique Three Step is the famous yellow ‘Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion’ and if you’re a fan of this then you will be happy to hear it’s been given a little bit of a make-over!

Of course by make-over I don’t mean a whole new look. You couldn’t change the iconic yellow lotion -who’s formula has remained the same since launch in the 1960’s – without a few eyebrows being raised. But the formulation has been given a make-over and now it will be known as Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion’+’ – what does the plus mean though?!

The main new addition to give it the ‘plus sign is a ‘barrier strengthening complex’ to help the skin retain the moisture the product gives – plus hyaluronic acid (a favourite ‘buzz word’ ingredient of mine),  glycerine and urea.

When I attended the launch a few weeks ago and I saw the ‘plus’ was being added I assumed it might mean the addition of SPF – which to be honest, would be very welcome to me! I still find there are a few too many moisturisers out there that don’t contain it and I wish they did! But having played with the formula I can confirm it does feel really nice to use – fresh and that bit more hydrating than it’s original counter part. Personally, I prefer the gel texture of DDM anyway, so wonder if they’re bringing out a ‘+’ version of the gel any time soon??

What do you think – tempted to explore if the ‘+’ will make the difference for you??

I have a love/hate relationship with Clinique and want to love it more than I do… I used to religiously use their cleanser but I don’t know if they changed it slightly, but I randomly had a reaction to it and it put me off ever since xx
