Clinique Nude Palette and Nails

Nude palettes are all the rage at the moment and Clinique have jumped on the bandwagon with the Nude Palette and Nails collection. And when I say jumped on the bandwagon, I basically mean stormed past the bandwagon and taken the lead – as this palette is a beauty. Sure, another neutral palette for many isn’t something to write home about. But what I feel is different about this palette comes down to both the shades and the style of it. The size is perfect – neat and narrow, it fits easily into the smallest of make-up bags. In fact, this is the only eyeshadow product I took with me on my recent trip – it had everything I needed and didn’t take up any excess space at all. If I wanted something pale and awakening for day the shades on the left had it covered, something with more definition – I could go for one of the middle colours or something darker and smokey for night – the shades on the right fit the bill.

If I wasn’t such a beauty obsessive I would say this would be the only palette I need. Yes really – it’s that good.

clinique nude collection

With just eight shades the Clinique Nude Palette has really managed to nail the capsule nude shadow wardrobe in a more concise way than any other brand out there. With a mix of pale and darks, cools and warms and slightly matte and shimmer. This palette has done in eight shades what Urban Decay have done in three palettes. Sure – for some it is all about the multiple options, but this palette is for those who want a simple and compact make-up collection. Quality wise, these are fab – with the paler shades being pigmented and smooth, but the darker shades being silky and gorgeous to apply. My favourite shades are the two taupes three and four in from the right hand side. Which shades stand out to you?

Of course Clinique have also added to their rulers of all things nude status with a complimentary nude nail collection to match the shadows. With shades ranging from creamy pinks, to deep caramels – there’s something for every skin-tone. Almost like a foundation though, it’s worth visiting the counter to see which shade matches/flatters your skin colour the best.

But if you like your make-up collection simple and portable – get the eyeshadow palette. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Love the look of this pallet, struggling to justify buying it though with the amount of neutral eyeshadows I already own!!

I love a neutral eye or nail & this collection couldn’t be any more perfect for me. I would get so much wear out of everything

From the sound and looks of it, this palette is pretty darn good! My mum’s a Clinique obsessive and loves her nude colours, maybe I’ll tempt her to buy one and then “borrow” it 😉

Oh those colors *.* I’m so into the brown shades at the moment.
