D&G Lipsticks

Dolce & Gabbana is a brand that has slowly but surely been creeping it’s way from on my radar to in my daily make-up bag. Firstly with the brow crayon that’s a daily essential (either for brows, or as a soft brown eyeliner) and now these lipsticks – which are quite frankly, gorgeous. There’s something I absolutely love about D&G Lipsticks packaging – and the packaging for the brand in general.

The packaging is gold and shiny, but that softer gold – not too yellow. These are sleek and smooth and basically feel lovely to hold. All the products feel like they’re reassuringly expensive/good quality – before you even try the actual make-up. So yeah, D&G is very much a brand I’m enjoying at the moment. These D&G lipsticks offer a little showcase of the Classic Cream Lipstick line – with a red, a nude and a pinky shade to cover the spectrum.

Starting with the red – which is definitely my favourite and an absolute stunner – the shade is ‘Devil’, which is an awesome name for such a vamp-ish red. It’s rich and creamy and the pigment is stunning. Then we have the brown-nude shade of ‘Caramel’, for me this is definitely not my shade – as it just makes me look like I’m feeling a bit ill. But I’m sure there’s someone out there who will love this. The pigment on tis one is slightly more sheer than that of Devil. Lastly there’s the classic rosy pink shade that is ‘Petal’, this is one of those shades that doesn’t look like much in the bullet – but when you see it applied or swatched you can see how much more flattering the shade can look. A good example of the old ‘my lips but better’ blogger cliche – looks natural, but still like you’re that little bit more polished than without it on.

On the Dolce & Gabbana beauty site there are over 40+ shades of the Classic Cream lipstick on offer – with everything from the nudes, to pinks, to corals, reds and berry shades. The shades that have caught my eye the most would be Coral (a coral…duh), Venere (an orange-red) and Mandorla (a coral-nude). But with so many shades, there’s got to be something for everyone.

Of these three, Devil is the 100% stand out for me.

Stunning aren’t they? Love the packaging almost as much as the colour!
