I have not one, but two visits to the US coming up in the next few weeks (Eeee!!!) and rather than doing what I normally do and sprinting to Sephora and burning a hole in my credit card quicker than you can say ‘Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush’ I decided to do the sensible-ish thing and pull together a little wish list. Also known as do some imaginary shopping on Sephora.com – and of course they do now deliver a number of products to the UK, but it’s not the same as the real thing! Let me know if there’s anything missing from this list that I need in my life!
1. Sephora Favourites Superstars ($75)
Feels like a total bargain for the amount of product in there (value of $225 apparently) this box is a veritable who’s-who of the brands that sell big in Sephora. The ones that jump out at me – Anastasia Brow Whizz, Formula X Colour in Ignite and the Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment.
2. NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette ($65)
A cheek palette by NARS. According to the website this is exclusive to Sephora (although maybe this could be US exclusive only). That’s basically all you need to know. NEED. It contains Laguna, Deep Throat, Miss Liberty, Sex Fantasy and Final Cut. Yep, this is well and truly on the wish list.
3. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette ($45)
Ok, enough with the blush palette obsession. But seriously – I love the look of this. I can’t wait to see both this and the Sephora one in person so I can make a call on which one might be ‘the one’ for me. Realistically I don’t need both… or do I?!
4. Formula X for Sephora ‘Alchemy’ Nail Polish ($12.50)
A limited edition shade from the extensive Formula X for Sephora range. Described as ‘platinum-infused, mixed metal shimmer’. It just looks gorgeous. I used to be obsessed with the Sephora/OPI nail range but that seems to have vanished to be replaced by Formula X – and as such this range has replaced my obsession. Ok, so they don’t have quite the range of mini-sets that I used to love. But still – the range of shades/textures etc is AMAZING and can be a very dangerous place for me to spend time… any colour recommendations from the range let me know!
5. Kat Von D Studded Lipstick ($21)
These look pretty awesome don’t they?! Even just for the packaging… but shade wise, I want to see them in person before I decide. But I’m thinking ‘Backstage Barbie’ could be the shade for me… a matte vivid hot pink… right up my street. Any shade suggestions welcome! Am also very tempted by the Lock-It Tattoo Foundation and Concealer – I looked at these in store last time I was over and they looked great but struggled to get someone to help me colour match. Kat Von D is definitely a brand I want to check out more when over there.
6. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask ($26)
Bite Lipstick is another beauty brand I feel like a really need to check it out. I have a whole host of stuff on the list – especially the Agave Lip Mask which I have heard is rather fabulous. Plus I really want to pick up one of the double ended lip colours. Not sure between the nude shades or the brights… but at $12 for a double lipstick seems like a bargain to me.
Six is definitely not enough to sum up all the brands and products I want to explore…any recommendations or what’s on your US dream shopping wish list – from Sephora or drugstore, let me know!
