Bobbi Brown Hot Collection

You know those times when you see a make-up item or collection and you do the human version of the heart-eyes emoji? Yep, well that’s what happened when I saw the cheek trio palettes from the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection. I do have a bit of a thing for a glowy cheek and the Bobbi Brown Peony Blush is an all time favourite of mine. So combine a brand I love and blushers I love and I am indeed in make-up heaven. You know what though, it wasn’t just the blush palette that won me over – the Art Stick pencils are seriously blow-your-mind bright too. Take a little peek…

Now, a warning for your eyes…these are brighter than bright. Just look at these two shades – Hot Orange and Hot Berry. They’re about as pigmented and bright as I’ve ever seen a lip colour. I honestly wasn’t expecting to be quite as ‘wow’ as I was when I swatched these. I even went through to show Ollie how bright they were… not that he really cares. But you know what I mean – I was impressed and wanted to share that feeling?! These Art Sticks are quite snazzy really – a half way between lip liner and a lipstick. You can line and fill with one product. If the other colours are as pigmented as these two…then I am a BIG fan.

Then we have the sheer lipstick offering for the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection. Because not everyone is ready for neon-level of brightness on their pout. Whilst these are more-sheer than the Art Sticks, that doesn’t mean they’re soft on colour. They’re still bright – but in a way that’s just a touch more subtle to wear. These three shades are: Berry, Pink and Orange. Ok, not the most inventive of names but they do as they say on the tin…?! The new sheer lip colours are great if you want a bit of colour but maybe tend to have dry lips or don’t want the maintenance of wearing a bold shade like the Art Sticks.

Then lastly we have the star of the show – the Blush Trio Palette in ‘Calypso’. A trio of shades around the corally pink spectrum with Coral Sugar, Calypso Highlight and Pretty Coral. All gorgeous shades and ones I’m already reaching for on a daily basis. Can see this being a tried and tested staple for quite some time!

So I think it’s safe to say the Bobbi Brown Hot Collection is indeed very hot. I love these bright lips and pop of colour cheeks. The Calypso Highlighter is gorgeous and those Art Sticks… I can’t get over how bright they are?!
