As a blogger, speed isn’t usually my thing. But today I just can’t wait to talk about/show you a gorgeous collaboration collection coming this Summer from Charlotte Tilbury. She has collaborated with the iconic Norman Parkinson to bring together his vintage images and her amazing products as the Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson Collection.
Norman Parkinson may or may not be a name you know, but even if you don’t know the name – then his photos will no doubt be ones you recognise. A staple on the front covers of Vogue in years gone by – many of which are captured in this collaboration.
It came about because Charlotte is friends with Norman’s grandson and he recognised that she loved Norman’s images as part of her inspiration – frequently sharing them on her Instagram. So he approached and a match made in beauty/fashion/photography heaven was made. But the best bit? The products are just amazing. I 100% predict these will fly off shelves – and if you want one then you probably need to get your name on a wait list ASAP because they’re beautiful – like all things Charlotte Tilbury they have that magic touch that just makes them fly off shelves and into make-up bags.
There are five products in the collection – plus two bags, one make-up bag and one wash bag. All featuring the icon Norman Marcus shots – including the phone shot of Jerry Hall, taken in 1975.
The products are:
Filmstar Bronze and Glow (Sun Tan and Sun Light) – a cream version of the awesome contouring duo.
Dreamy Glow Highlighter – a silky smooth powder highlighter with a gorgeously pearly/pinky blend to add pure glow not glitter.
Colour of Youth Lip & Cheek Glow – A cream lip/cheek combo product with Wenda Parkinson shot in Tobego – a shot of Norman’s wife, that was in the archives and this is the first time it has been made available to the public.
Matte Revolution Lipsticks in ‘Miss Kensington’ and ‘1975 Red’ – As I type I’m sitting here wearing 1975 Red and it’s total love. That awesome bright orange-red that makes a classic red perfect for Summer (and year round in my opinion). Brighter on the lips than it is in the bullet – this is one I’ll be buying when the collection launches. Miss Kensington is the nude offering of the collection and is indeed a beauty too. That lovely balance between nude and pink so it’s flattering but still neutral. With just a hint of shimmer/glow to it.
All the main products are Limited Edition – with prices from £32 for the make-up bag, to £55 for the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. The Matte Revolution shades will be joining the permanent collection. But if you want the other bits – move fast! My top pick would be the Dreamy Glow Highlighter – as it is indeed dreamy.
