Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

I’m still waiting for the year of the blusher – we have had nails, brows, lips… when will it be the year that blusher becomes the ‘thing’ so all brands can launch pretty blush palettes left right and centre. Of course we have contouring, but that’s hardly the same as a lust worthy blusher palette now is it?! Well, until that year comes I have beauties like this Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette to keep me happy.

And when I say happy that’s a slight understatement as this palette is basically a dream for my colouring. That’s something to be said for whe whole Urban Decay Gwen Stefani collection, as much as it certainly isn’t limited to only blonde/fair colouring at all, the shades definitely have that feel that Gwen has picked out her exact colour choices that you can see would work perfectly for her and can 100% see her wearing them all. From the bright lipsticks to the neutral shadows to the conour/highlight/blush options in this Urban Decay Gwen Stefani blush palette.

The palette itself has six cheek shades – as you an see below (and if you’re a Gwen/No Doubt fan you can see the references too with the names:

Cherry – a pale blue toned pinky shade with subtle cool sheen

Easy – Rosy pinky red with champagne sheen

Angel – Warm golden highlight with shimmer

Lo-Fi – Cool toned light shade of bronzer

Hush – Pinky toned nude shimmer highlight shade

OC – Pale peachy nude blush with pinky sheen

The colours in this palette really are gorgeous and especially the three along the bottom (the more brown/nude tones) are absolutely ideal for my pale colouring. If you ever struggled to find a bronzer pale enough for you that doesn’t leave you muddy looking or orange then I’d definitely recommend this palette. My favourite at the moment is a toss up between Hush (gorgeous as a highlighting/glowy blush) and Cherry (for perky pink cheeks with just enough sheen to look glowy rather than powdery). I can see Angel and Lo-Fi being favourites in Summer too.

A big claim, but this could very well be my ultimate blusher palette – I feel that if I got rid of all the other cheek/blush/bronzer shades in my collection and was left with just this then I would be totally fine. The shades work for my colouring, are varied enough to mix it up and really flattering. VERY happy to have this in my life.

Having said about how perfectly I find these shades work for me, that’s not to say they wouldn’t work on darker skin tones or different colouring at all of course. It’s just from my pale/blonde perspective they suit me. I can see the Angel and Easy shades looking gorgeous on darker skin, but of course the paler bronzer might not work. All down to you knowing what suits you and works for you I think – but if you’re pale then the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette is a dream.

Ugh, so incredible – I don’t think I could love the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay collar any more! I love me some warm-toned, peachy-nude blushes, so this palette is pretty much perfect in my eyes!

These shades look absolutely beautiful! I’ve been using the same Bourjois blusher for years and I’m definitely due a change-up. Very tempted by this palette.
