Is there anything more British than a day at the tennis? This year I headed to the famous Queen’s Club in West Kensington to spend a gorgeous sunny day at the AEGON tennis championships with Dove. The best bit being that it was a beautifully sunny day with ACTUALLY WARM SUN – pretty perfect conditions to take a fresh new deodorant scent for a test run!

The day of tennis fun was to mark the launch of the new Dove Go Fresh Pear & Aloe Vera and Dove’s partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association. The new scent is a latest addition to the Dove anti-perspirant and body care family. It combines the sweet scent of pear with the soothing aloe vera, alongside the creamy signature Dove background scent. I’ve long loved that creamy-powdery Dove fragrance but it’s lovely to be able to switch it up with a fresh new variation.
Of course the new Dove Go Fresh Pear & Aloe Vera scent is available in a selection of sizes of aerosol, plus the roll on version. This includes the little mini handbag sized version that is amazing for when you’re on the go day–to-day or travelling. It was SO handy to have during the heatwave times when you need a reliable deodorant to work especially hard to keep you feeling fresh!
The fragrance itself is formulated in a way that mirrors the creation of fine fragrances – with different delicate notes that combine to create the overall scent. The Dove Go Fresh Pear & Aloe Vera scent was created in collaboration with Givaudan – one of the world’s leading global perfume houses. The overall result is a fresh but girly scent that also has 48 hours of sweat protection and contains the signature quarter moisturising cream that Dove anti-perspirants are known for – this is a great benefit as it makes your underarms so fresh and soft.
The fragrance is a combination of the base notes of peach, coconut and vanilla plus the creamy signature Dove scent. The middle notes are watery aloe, lily of the valley, delicate jasmine petals and white rose. The top note is fresh crisp pear and zesty bergamot.
It was a gorgeously sunny, warm day at the tennis – my first ever tennis experience – so having the mini sized can to throw in my bag was super handy. It was the perfect time to pull out a gorgeous pom pom bucket bag. I normally use it for decoration in my office but as I was about to dash out the door it caught my eye and I thought it would go perfectly with my outfit. The other thing I loved the most about my day at the tennis was that it was fancy (amazing food and delicious drinks) but not *too* fancy – as in the dress code and crowd was all very lovely and British but a tad less formal than you might expect.
I absolutely loved my day at the tennis and will definitely be looking into going again next year! Thank you for such a wonderful day at the tennis Dove – such a fun day!
