There’s a new palette on the block and it’s a HOT one. Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette is the latest addition to the Naked family and if you liked the warm toned nudes of the Naked Three palette then this is a dialled up version. Taking warm toned into a hot territory with burnt, reddy, auburn and golden shades galore.
I love a warmer toned nude eye shadow, they work a treat alongside my blue eyes and add a little twist on the safe neutrals. However, I do still find them not too easy to work with. Even with years of beauty blogging I still don’t find getting the perfect eye shadow blend the easiest!
The texture and shades of this palette are gorgeous. Silky smooth and a range of matte and shimmer shades to choose from. There are warm toned neutrals that work easily for day to day and then a few shades with a lot more red and orange type tones to them so you can dial up or down depending on exactly how much ‘heat’ you want.
I created a little red-toned look using the palette to give a little demo of it in action – you know, rather than just showing how pretty the palette is – I thought I’d give you a peek of it in use. Excuse the serious face… make-up is serious business don’t you know. I paired it with a coral-re lipstick shade (one of the Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip Colour
The shades I used from the palette are: Chaser (all over the lid), Lumbre (across the lid to the crease) and Scorced (close to the lash line). I also added a smudge of Ember to the lash line for a little extra definition.
There are a few extra additions to the Urban Decay Naked Heat Range too – including the Naked Heat Vice Lipstick shades. So you can pair your shadow with the perfect lipstick match.
Just my first play with the palette but can definitely see it becoming a regular in rotation for my beauty arsenal.
What do you think of this palette? A definite NEED NEED NEED situation – or do you already have enough naked in your life you don’t need any extra Heat?! See what I did there…
