This is my nail of the day from earlier this week. It’s an extremely cute, extremely small bottle of polish from high end brand Le Metier De Beaute. It’s a gorgeous shade – deep metallic purple, that reminds me of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk.
Applies smoothly, one coat is OK, two coats is better. Not uber-glossy, but still shiny.
Down side, it chipped horribly on me. Granted, I hadn’t used a base or top coat this time around. But still, I don’t personally think I varnish that costs £10 for 4ml should chip that easily?
Ironically, I just looked online to check the details and the website claims “Fortified with strengthening proteins and hydrators, Le Metier de Beaute Nail Lacquers delivers rich, glossy, long-wearing color.” with the benefits listed as including “Resists chipping up to 14 days.” Considering this chipped within a few hours (I painted in the evening, by morning it had chipped and there was some noticeable tip-wear) this seems a bit of a stretch to me.
But still, gorgeous colour – it’s such a shame the formula was a let down.
Anyone else found this with this brand, or others in a similar price band??
