My hair is 99% poker straight already, so to give these products a proper review I roped in my lovely friend LW. LW basically has the ideal hair for testing this out – naturally wavy she can do straight or curly hair with some styling but allowed to air dry and her hair forms the sort of beachy waves that I am very envious of. Plus her long hair is lovely and thick. Yep, not jealous at all….
So onto the review from LW…
“I love the smell of these products, like all Herbal Essences hair products I have tried they do smell good enough to eat, so that’s a good start. The shampoo lathers really well and isn’t hard to get it rinsed out. The conditioner is easy to distribute through the lengths of hair and feels like it makes a difference after just a couple of minutes left in. Again, rinses clean easily makes my hair feel nice and soft straight after rinsing.
“When rinsed out hair isn’t tangled and easy to comb through which made blow drying easy. I didn’t do anything fancy when drying my hair – just the same as I usually did and the result was that my hair did feel silkier and smoother than normal but not really any straighter. I still needed to use straighteners to make it properly straight. I did find that the leave-in cream helped to keep my hair straight for longer than usual.
“Overall I really like this range and definitely plan to keep using it, but I don’t think it made my hair any straighter than other products I used. It did make it lovely and silky though and easier to style.”
So there we have it – the views on Herbal Essences Seductively Straight hair care range with a little help from a friend. Just to add my two cents – I like the leave in cream for styling as it does leave my hair super straight and silky. Plus it smells lovely.
As I was putting this review together I saw an advert saying that all Herbal Essences Shampoo/Conditioners are half price at Tesco. Bargain-tastic.
