The original Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum was a perfume that took the fragrance world by storm last year, and as much as I wanted to be sucked in to the hype of the fragrance (I’m a sucker for hype…) I just didn’t like the fragrance – it was too heavy for my tastes.
But this Eau De Toilette version is a totally different story, much lighter and fresher than the original fragrance.

To give you an idea of what the Eau De Toilette smells like, here’s a break down of the notes (courtesy of escentual.com):
Top Notes: Crisp Green Notes, Ginger
Heart Notes: Tea Rose, Tiger Orchid
Base Notes: Cedarwood, Vibrant Wood
The crisp green top notes really lighten up the fragrance compared to the original version, but they do share some of the deeper hearty notes. I have a bit of a thing for liking the ‘Eau De Toilette’ or fresher versions of popular fragrances (other favourites are Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh and Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche) so I guess the moral of the story is if you (like me) really *want* to like a fragrance but don’t… then wait for the fresher version to come out. A vast majority of brands now a days do launch a lighter version, so can be worth waiting for!
Jimmy Choo Eau De Toilette available from Escentual.com for £34 for 40ml

I like the sound of crisp.
I’ve never had a chance to smell this but it sounds really nice and looks like it would smell perfect

I can’t smell right now. But I can guess it would be fab.
Thanks for sharing.
I’m a big fan of the Jimmy Choo fragrances but I wish they changed the packaging a bit more so it didn’t feel like you were buying the same thing
