Lancome Vernis in Love: Bleu De Flore

Just a quick little nail of the day from the new Lancôme Vernis in Love collection. There’s a huge range of shades – ranging from classic pinks and reds to turquoise, grieges and blues.

This is a deep blue that in some lights looked a little bit like a deep teal. Application wise is was great, these shades have a great brush – nice and flat and fairly wide. It applied so it was opaque in two coats and dried quick enough that I wasn’t left with sheet marks after a nights sleep.

The colour lasted well, but had one downside – when it came to removing it I was left with blue stained fingers! Despite using a base coat (a Mavala one FYI) the colour didn’t come off as clean as I would expect. The colour did of course wash off, but I would have hoped for an easier removal for a polish costing over £10.

But removal issues aside, the colour is great and I’m hoping that the removal thing was a one off and won’t happen with all shades.

I’ve been after a teal polish which leans more blue for ages! I really need to check this out. Thanks! 🙂
