Recent beauty favourites

Here’s a little peek at a few of my recent beauty favourites… ranging from the ultimate basics to a couple of cult classics and some new discoveries…

On the basics front I’m loving Garnier Mineral Clean Sensation deodorant… not a huge amount to say about it other than it does the job, smells good but doesn’t interfere with perfume and just feels fresh and lovely. Also on the basics front, Vaseline Aloe Fresh – another light and fresh one that I’m loving. Smells good, does the job – happy days. Oh – and plus it’s pretty darn cheap. Score.

I’m also currently loving the Stila In the Light palette* – which I reviewed here. A classic range of shades that are a dream for neutral lovers. Simple as that – if you’re looking for neutral shadows then this is an absolute dream.

Other goodies that I’ve been really loving…

Caudalie Eau De Beaute: Not an essential, but definitely a lovely addition to the beauty routine. Nice as a wake-up spritz in the morning. Leaves skin feeling moisturised and fresh.

MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion: This is probably an error from a beauty blogger, but I only really started to love this recently (and only even more recently discovered you can get it as a lotion or a cream!?) but it adds a pinky shimmer glow to skin and is a lovely base for foundation for a glowing finish.

MAC Fleet Fast blusher: From the Hey Sailor! collection, just loving the colour. You can see swatches, more info here. But this has become a daily favourite for me.

Abi O Soft Sun Self Tan for English Roses*: Another new one and will be featuring in an upcoming fake tan favourites for face. This is great for a light colour for paler skins – it adds a glow, without turning you orange.

Origins Mega Bright*: I reviewed this earlier this week so to find out why it’s a fave check that out!

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation*: This is another one that deserves a full review, but absolutely loving this! Only a small amount delivers a gorgeous finish – that looks even and flawless, but not heavy. Lovely stuff.

MAC MSF (Medium Plus): My MAC MSF is very much on it’s last legs, but it’s definitely one I plan to repurchase. I love a glowy finish, but don’t want to look oily…at the same time as don’t want to look totally matte. This is one of my two favourite face powders (the other being a skin glow powder from UNE)

Those with a * are PR samples.

I love love love the look of the Stila palette but have both Naked palettes. I can’t decide if it’s different enough to justify or I’m just being greedy! xxx

I’m loving my Caudalie spray right now too! I’m actually a bit obsessed with the whole line- especially the new SOS Thirst Quench Serum. My skin just drinks these products up!

Thanks for the advice on these products. i’m particularly interested in the self tan because I like to try different ones to see how you apply them and what sort of a colour they leave on your skin.
