About a month ago I mentioned that DKNY were launching some new additions to the Be Delicious range – themed around some of the greatest cities in the world. Of course there’s New York, the original and now there’s Paris and London being added to the mix (there’s also a Rio version – but that’s not being launched in the UK at the moment)
I was given the chance to give them a good sniff recently and although this is the last one I thought I would love, Paris was my favourite! Key notes in the fragrance include Fresh Jasmine, Patchouli, Vanilla, Gala Apples and Violet.
It’s actually quite bizarre that I loved this the most as generally I don’t love Jasmine as a fragrance, but I think this mixed with Vanilla and Gala Apples makes it fresher rather than too heavy a floral. As always with a fragrance, you definitely have to see what you think of it in person before you make the commitment to purchase – as this showed, if I was judging the three fragrances on the notes I’d have thought London or New York would be my favourites…. but I was wrong!
Moral of the story… don’t judge a perfume by the notes as described on paper!
I have always been devoted to my DKNY Be Delicious (just about to finish my 3rd bottle), but have never tried their other versions. Might be worth a wee trip to the perfume counter!
