MAC Amber Lights and Mythology

Here’s a quick little look at two MAC shades that are the latest additions to my palette – which no, I still haven’t managed to fill (although I could have done if I wanted to de-pot shadows…but I’m scared of ruining them!)

These two shades are, as the title kind gives away… Amber Lights and Mythology. I feel like a bit of a beauty blogging fraud for talking about this when at the moment I’ve been totally skipping eyeshadow for weeks. But I know that as winter closes in I’ll go back to it – and I do love these shades. So it’s just a temporary hiatus from the shadow world for me.

These are both shades that are pretty well known classics in beauty blogging land, and I picked them as felt that they would be flattering on my blue eyes – especially Amber Lights (thanks to the whole opposite/colour wheel theory thing) and Mythology would look nice to give a warmer tone to some of the brown shadows that I love to use. Both are very pretty colours and feel really great quality in typical MAC shadow style.

Just writing this is making me want to get back on the whole eyeshadow thing again!

Bought by me.

Both stunning and you’re making me want them. I’m totally off eye shadow too, funny how I just can’t be bothered in the summer but I know I’ll be right back to my faves soon.

They both look gorgeous! I’ve been thinking about getting a palette but what do you do when you want to take makeup with you for touch ups? Isn’t it too big?x

Ooh, Mythology looks great. I’m a big fan of those reddy-toned browns, like Antiqued, Cranberry and Coppering….this looks like it’d be a perfect addition! x

I’m totally planning on duping the Styleseeker Marché aux puces duo with Amber Lights and Soft Brown! They might not be perfect dupes but I think they’ll be close enough. Amber Lights is just gorgeous in itself anyway 🙂
