Glossy Box for October is a ‘DIY beauty’ theme… so sort of an ‘all you need for an at-home make-over’ type of thing. When I first opened my box I was massively impressed, especially happy with the Dr Jart+ BB cream – even though I have a tube of the full sized product the smaller size is handy and think this is a fab for those that haven’t tried it yet. I was also happy to see Anatomicals in there – love their playful products.
Because I tend to have fairly balanced expectations (at least I think so) for beauty boxes I was happy to see two products I was excited about and didn’t expect wonders from the others. I also received the Skinetica anti-blemish solution – not a brand I’ve heard of before but will give it a go next time I get a break out. There was also an Olay Regenerist sample – I do love a good Olay product but can’t help but feel a little ‘meh’ knowing these were in last month’s too – and having seen others have received a Sally Hansen nail polish I know I would have been a little more ‘whoop’ if that had been in my box instead this month.
The final product in my October box is a lipstick from Yves Rocher – a addition as it’s lovely to have a range of body, face and make-up but the colour isn’t one I know I’ll be reaching for an unfortunately mine has a bit of a fault where the bit holding the lipstick bullet falls out of the tube. Again, I have spotted in others boxes that there’s a rather fab looking Yves Rocher Instant Anti Wrinkle moisturiser – so as always with these things, it’s the luck of the draw and you can’t win them all!
Overall, a couple of products I’m excited about and overall a decent selection but the little green-eyed-monster in me sort of wishes I’d received the nail varnish and the Yves Rocher moisturiser instead!
